How can Artificial Intelligence Improve the Education System?

Updated: Aug 24

We always make an effort to look for better learning. Giving good education is the way paved for a bright future. Henceforth, finding a better learning path seems complicated to this tech distraction era.

“The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth.”

– John F Kennedy

The days of COVID-19 have witnessed the failure in the traditional method of learning. Technology is starting to reach a point where everything is made independent where artificial intelligence is one among them. Artificial intelligence is nothing but the study of how to make computers do things like they have human intelligence. The impact of Artificial intelligence has brought wide benefits in various fields. The involvement of artificial intelligence in the field of the education system was much hit.

Let’s see how does artificial Intelligence is empowering or going to empower the education system in classrooms and on replacing classrooms.

Artificial Intelligence in classrooms:

As days pass by, it is getting more difficult to keep up with the innovation that could alter things as we know it. It is the time that educational institutions take advantage of technological advancements and modify their environments accordingly.

Advantages of Artificial Intelligence in classrooms:

1. Students grading:-

From the times, teachers used to spend more of their time in correction, calculating, grading, etc. With AI, teachers can evacuate grading and can have run through on students. AI also helps in predicting grades which helps the teachers to give better training before the attempts.

2. Upgrade the weakness:

There are some products in the market which are the AI-based skill enhancement platform. It takes exceeding efforts to help teachers in understanding the students learning paths. It prepares a customized learning path for students based on their area of improvements, which are then aided by the teachers. It benefits teachers to monitor and to have regular progress.

3. Facial Recognition for attendance:

Facial recognition can be used in real-time for identifying individuals on spot and it is done by computer vision and deep learning. It uses the webcam to detect faces and then record the attendance live in an excel sheet. The record can be accessed at any time with date and time. It reduces the time and effort taken for maintaining the attendance records. It also ensures the security of a student.

4. Personalized Learning:

As each student differs from different skill-sets, different behavior traits, and different cognitive abilities like remedial students, advanced students, students with special needs, and so on. Artificial Intelligence gives us the ability to provide personalized learning to students on the basis of their unique strengths and weakness.

Artificial intelligence replacing classrooms:

Recently there is a question rising on, what is the future of education? Is it online or classroom training? For the past few centuries, we don’t have any updates on our education system, we have the same way of teaching sitting inside the four walls. Young people spend a lot of time on the go. To overcome all the shortcomings, AI is going to replace classrooms. Yes! Artificial intelligence is going to be the future.

Advantages of Artificial Intelligence replacing classrooms:

1. Flexible learning:

According to the US education sector report, with the involvement of Artificial Intelligence Education has grown by 47.5% from 2017-2021. This is due to the flexible learning. Children will no longer be held back in their years nor will they be graded from A to F or 1 to 6.

Students need not carry heavy bags, No gender partialities, No racism, etc. Students can learn with different mixed groups of ages. Students can also receive their feedback immediately after the tests. It helps to grow towards their passion.

2. Virtual Classrooms:

Learning at any time and anywhere with a flexible schedule is the most beneficial thing in virtual classrooms. Recording sessions for further reference will also help students with detailed clarification. With the remote setting, we can bring real-time examples that are not possible in classrooms.

3. Sharpened digital skills:

As you start to learn and study in an online world, you will be self-reliant on using interactive online tools like drop boxes, collaboration tools, email communication, paper presentation, and so on. This helps to sharpen your digital skills.

I hope you will enjoy these benefits of Artificial Intelligence in the education system and experience many more in an online world.
